I welcome the new heavens and the new earth. I am however having difficulty understanding why God would want us not to remember the former. I have to reflect on the last part of the verse.
In my mind this is simply telling us that the new will be so glorious that it will outshine the old to such an extent that the things of the past will have no hold on our thinking.
These snippets of scripture that I post here are just that, little pieces of the whole. It is my hope that they will lead some to want to know more and to look deeper into the Word. It is wonderful that you desire to understand and take the time to consider the words and phrases. You will be blessed for your efforts.

I think so, too. It will be a blessing when the past is truly the past and forgotten. God’s forgiveness is beyond this woman’s comprehension.
