For a long time I thought this meant that we were to die, physically, for our friends.
But laying down our life does not necessarily mean physical death.
When we put another’s best interest before our own…we lay down our life.
When we put aside what we want for what they need…we lay down our life.
Perhaps, one day we will come to a place where it is our life or the life of a friend.
I pray that never happens.
But if it does we have One we can look to for courage and strength and even peace.
He knows, He’s been there, He’s done that.
Would you lay down your life for a friend?
Will you?
Bless you, Patricia.
Thank you, Dimple. So good to see you here I have missed you.
Thank you for these deeper looks, Patricia and God bless you!
I am happy the prompts are helpful. Blessings.
If God wants me to lay down to a stranger, in a heartbeat.
How wonderful! Bless you, Seeker.
