Words are powerful and are to be used wisely.
Words can bring love or hate, hurt or healing,
laughter or tears, anger or happiness.
It is up to you how you use your words and to what end.
Do you think before you speak?
Are your words life affirming?
Blessings this day of grace,
I try, always, to make sure that what I say will not bring pain or unhappiness to anyone. I fear I do sometimes fail in my quest, so posts such as this, reminding me to think harder before speaking, are great. As always, thank you.
You are welcome. I don’t think there is anyone who doesn’t sometimes fall short in this. It is encouraging to know we have a God of patience.
My words don’t always give life .. so good prayer for me to pray right now! Thank you, Patricia. Have you heard this song? It blesses me!
My words can cut to the quick sometimes. I don’t always think first then speak. Not wise! Great song…so true.
Not according to my niece, Lucy. Thanks, Patricia.
Does she subscribe to the thought that “words can never hurt me”? She must be young.
Younger generation is all about “me”. Still on the “feeling” stage.
