narrow

This could be a discouraging verse;
the gate is narrow, the way is hard,  few find it.

There is encouragement though;
we do not walk alone, we are given written instruction, nothing is hidden.
We can see clearly if we put aside preconceived notions of what it should look like.

Is it (or was it) difficult for you to see the gate?
What is keeping you (or kept you) from seeing clearly?

Blessings this day of grace,

patricia

  1. The way I see it, there is no Gate, should there be one, it’s always open. Open for us to enter the Kingdom of God.

    My stumbling block is short sightedness that is fueled by some negative emotions. Working on it. Thank you.

      1. I think more of as a Bridge. The gate is me and Jesus is knocking to let him in. So what did, I eliminated the gate or the door. Does it make sense?

        1. Interesting. I think of the cross as a bridge, Jesus as the gate I must enter. I think Jesus knocks on the door of our hearts and we open the door and let Him in then He opens the (His) gate to eternal life.

          Please remember I am, like you, a pilgrim on a journey. I am not a bible scholar or theologian…I am learning while on the path…just like you. Your comments are teaching me and helping me to understand the lessons. Blessings.
