When there is no rain a cistern dries up;
it has no inner source, it depends on rain or man to fill it.
So it is with this world; it has no infinite source to draw upon;
in time its charms lose their magic and there is no life left.
Christ is the fountain of living water;
He is the source of life eternal.
Which sounds better:
cool clean refreshing water that is from an endless flowing fountain
or stale stagnant water that is at the bottom of a well?
Blessings this day of grace,

This really blessed me, Patricia .. thank you. So thankful for all He is and gives to us. God bless you!
It is the Spirit that directs what I write here. It amazes me what I am learning. All the praise belongs to Him!
Sometimes the Lord will ask us to drink from a stagnant water to test our faith just like St. Bernadette.
He may test us but we always have His fountain to drink from whatever circumstances we find ourselves experiencing. He never leaves us in stagnant water.
