2 Thessalonians 3:3 gwt

In the verses before this Paul asks the Thessalonians to pray for him
that he may be delivered from wicked and evil men, men without faith.
Then he encourages those of faith with the words above.

We, also, are encouraged by these words from Paul.
Because the Lord is faithful in His love for us
we know that He gives us strength to be steadfast in the faith
and He will protect from the evil one.

Are you being battered by those who do not believe as you do?
Will you arm yourself with the Word and be made strong for the conflict
knowing it is the Lord who guards you?

Blessings this day of grace,

  1. When we realize His answer to our prayer, “deliver us from the evil one”, is His living in us as we walk by faith – well, it has freed me from those times I still feel overwhelmed and inadequate. Of course I am, but He is not. Do not fear, we are told. Submit to God, wash your hands, purify your hearts. Thank you Patricia again, for your continued ministry to those of us in remote corners.

    • I think we can all relate to your feeling overwhelmed and inadequate. I remember when I was lost, so very lost, and how frightening life seemed. There are still times when I tremble with fear but then the Spirit whispers, “Fear not for I am with you.” and the trembling stops and I can go on…sometimes still afraid but strong, calm, and hopeful.

  2. Paul perseverance and unwavering faith to God is the epitome of Christianity. I am in constant awe of his conversion and I believe God will protect me from the evil one.

    • I love to hear the testimony of people and their conversion experience. Many today are as amazing as Paul’s.
I shudder to think what it would be like without the Lord’s provision and protection.
