We are encouraged to pray for all people
not just for ourselves and those we know and love.
When we pray for all people including those of authority
we are helping to bring peace and quiet to a chaotic world.
Do you pray for all people including those of authority?
Do you believe your prayers can help bring peace to the world?
Blessings this day of grace,
The Bible shows that prayer is our interactive practice of being humble before God in the mystery of true faith, which is what Jesus did regularly in His pre-Crucifixion life. My wife and I learned to appreciate formal obedience for this prayer during weekly worship service. We found ourselves drawn to a faithful congregation in the Anglican tradition, and I learned the value of humble group prayer. I’m so glad that God continues to restore His people to our true roots, even if we make a hash of it in our congregational practice. The people not the building or organization is the Church. I’m so grateful to come to join you and these others linked by common interest and your perseverance. Amen.
I believe.
Somehow I knew…you are a believer!
I absolutely believe that our prayers, collectively and individually make a difference in the world, and in our own lives too! Peace is achievable, if we would only all believe!
Prayer is a step toward the possible, a most important first step. Peace is a reality we just haven’t grasped it yet. Thanks for visiting me here, Josie. Always nice to see you.
