When we were children discipline was an ugly word.
As adults some of us still think of it as something awful.
Perhaps we feel this way because we have in our minds
that discipline is only meant to punish us for wrong doing.
However, there is more to discipline than punishment.
It develops and improves skills, trains, educates, and prepares
us for greater things.
Yes, discipline can hurt but it has a purpose.
In God’s plan and purpose discipline readies us
for whatever is to come next and gives us peace
when facing the future and its challenges.
