The world pursues knowledge at any and all cost
thinking it is wisdom being achieved.
Knowledge is a wonderful thing but it is not wisdom.
There is more to wisdom than books and experiments and theories.
Knowing this is the beginning of becoming wise.
Are you a “fool” for God or foolish in His sight?
Blessings this day of grace,

Patricia, I read a book in the 1970s by Henri Nouwen called “Clowning in Rome”. Under the Big Top, clowns are not center of attention, they make us forget the drama, they are like us as they exaggerate their simple foibles. They are part of the segue between setting the stage for the next event. Part of our quiet joy and humor is that no one knows like we really ought to know, but we can rejoice for God knows us. Big warm smile in my heart contemplating your mediation, thank you.
Professional clowns are smarter than the clowns who think they are smart. Yes, we rejoice that God knows us and loves us in spite of ourselves. Blessings.
It is foolish to think the knowledge and wealth will save us. I’d rather be a fool for Christ’s sake. Thank you, Patricia, for tonight’s meditation.
You are right as usual. Blessings.
