We ask God to forgive our offenses, our sins,
as we have forgiven those who have offended us.
Notice the tense of the verbs.
Forgive, present; have forgiven, past.
It seems we are to forgive others before
we ask forgiveness for ourselves.
Does this convict you as it does me?
What are your thoughts on this verse?
Blessings this day of grace,

I work at being openhearted imperfectly. I hurt so easily…on the hour it seems…and can never accept that much of what people do isn’t personal, but it feels as if it is. I tried mending fences the other day with someone who hurt me terribly…but he never called back. Resentments weigh a ton….this I know…forgiveness, as light as a feather.
I am sorry you have been hurt again by this person. Maybe he is troubled by guilt or embarrassed by his words or actions. He may be hurting too. You have a gentle spirit…in spite of your bravado. I am praying for your tender heart..
It’s needs prayer. It’s shot full of holes, like Swiss cheese.
Prayer will heal your heart and it will be stronger than before the hurt. I will continue to pray for you as the Lord leads. Blessings.
That’s awfully kind of you.
I forgive others for not able to forgive me. Blessings.
This is so beautiful, Seeker. You are gifted with a grace-filled heart.
