Love is an advocate of all people.
It does not regard self as better than others.
Love is gentle and even-tempered.
It does not dwell on hurtful things.

What in this verse is most difficult for you?
How have you overcome something on this list?

Blessings this day of grace,

  1. I am easily angered. Just yesterday I got upset with a friend that inspired an essay. I tried not reacting….lingered before I jumped into the fight, but I’m not a perfect being…I tend to be around selfish people in general. Why is that….should ponder this Patricia since I find myself triggered so easily by the likes of them. I do like thinking about love…it’s the cornerstone of my life.

    1. Love is the one thing that will remain for all time. You are a passionate woman and there is nothing wrong with that. Being human and imperfect just makes it difficult to reign in our passions. One day at a time, Susannah, you will have control of your temper one day..

  2. I think the one I have the most problems with is the self-seeking. I’m not as bad as I used to be, but I could do better.

    1. I think if we are honest most of us look to our own interests and well-being first. It is the nature of the flesh. Thankfully we have the Spirit to help us get past this.

    1. That’s the hardest one for me. I am better at letting the hurts go but sometimes old hurts are just remembered which means, to me, they must be on a list somewhere. I am blessed that God forgives and forgets. I am working on it.
