Nowhere in the Ten Commandments does it specifically say we are to love one another.
It says to honor our parents, not to murder, steal or commit adultery,
tell lies about our neighbor or covet what he has.
Jesus says, “Love one another just as I have loved you.”
This is new; it was not part of the Law.
Jesus had to come here to show us this love, His love.
Jesus’ love was pretty radical back then and it hasn’t changed;
it is still profound and essential today.
How do you show or express the “just as I have loved you” part of the command?
Blessings this day of grace,

Such a beautiful scripture and command and such beautiful thoughts and questions too! I think one of the things about His love for me is how much grace is poured out with it. I try to let that same grace flow through me as I love others. 🙂
If your poetry is any indication those you love are abundantly blessed…as are your blog friends and readers.
