Mary gave birth to a baby boy
who was God’s son and he was her son.
We tend to forget the human story of Jesus’ birth.
I think what was important to Mary, that night in a stable in Bethlehem,
was that her son was healthy, warm, and safe in her arms.

Have you thought of Mary simply as a mother with a newborn child
and her very human thoughts and feelings that night?

Blessings this day of grace,patricia

  1. Thoughts like this keep me grounded and from becoming disillusioned with this life in God. Jesus came from Heaven to a humble life frought with all troubles a humble life can bring. If this is the life he entered why do we expect that in this life we will be excused by Him from living through some of the same things?

    1. I do think it is our loss that we forget or give little thought to Jesus’ humanity. If it wasn’t important He would not have had to endure the trials and troubles, as a man, that He did . There are lessons to be learned from His humanity and His divinity.
