Anytime I find myself unwilling to forgive someone, I have to examine what resentment I’m holding onto. Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves, it frees us from the chains of anger and resentment. I have learned to forgive almost everyone, there’s a couple I need to do more work on, but I can see that it has all worked out for the good in my life, so God had a plan in it, and that means there is no reason not to forgive!
It is true when we don’t forgive the only one we hurt is ourselves. Because it is often difficult to forget the hurts and wrongs forgiveness has to be revisited. We are works in progress.

I think of Corrie ten Boom often when I think of forgiveness! Thank you for sharing this!
She is a great example of a forgiving heart. I hope that one day I have her strength!
