Exodus 20:17 niv

10To covet is to wish for or desire what rightfully belongs to another.
There is nothing wrong with wanting things others have but is wrong to want theirs.
When we want what belongs to another we devalue what is ours.
We will not see the blessings in our lives if we look only at the blessings of others.

Do you want something that belongs to another?
Why do you want it?  What makes it desirable to you?

It is easy to become tired or discouraged when our efforts
to do good work are not recognized or appreciated.
We must remember we do good to be a blessing not for rewards.
Yet, we will receive more blessings than we can imagine
if we just keep on doing what we know is right and good.

Do you feel invisible in spite of your hard work?
Do you know that to the Lord you and what you do are never invisible?

Psalm 116:7 niv

lionrestThere are times that daily life is too busy, too troubled, too hurried, too anxious.
That is when we need to stop, just stop and rest, if only for a minute or two.
When we turn away from the cacophony of life we can think about
the blessings the Lord has given us and we will find the rest we need
to be refreshed, renewed, and ready for whatever is ahead.

Do you take time to rest when life gets crazy?

Philemon 1:6 niv

Faith is not meant to be hidden away.
It is to be shared with others with words and acts.
In sharing our faith we become more mindful
of the blessings we receive from the Lord.

Are you active in sharing your faith?
Which is more natural for you; to share your faith with words or actions?

Blessings this day of grace,

patricia
