Proverbs 31:8-9 nlt

hands-91125_640 (1)

Someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
for the people who are looked down upon because of
where and how they live,  what they look like and how they dress,
their education or job. or the lack of education or job.
The mother of King Lemuel expected her son to be such person
and in turn the Lord says we are to be also.

I am not very good at speaking out about injustice.  Are you?

Isaiah 42:4 hcs

earth-238368_150

The Lord’s servant will remain strong and determined
until his mission is complete.
Justice will be secured worldwide;
even the most remote lands will know God’s law.

Do you sometimes become tired and discouraged waiting for the Lord’s return?
Is it not a comfort to know that He continues on without weariness or discouragement?

Isaiah 42:3 niv

reed-269767_640

The Lord’s servant is compassionate and kind.
He will not cause suffering or harm to those who are hurt and weak.
He can be trusted and will deliver what is true and righteous.

Are you hurting and is your light flickering?
Are you ready to give up?
Will you take your troubles to the Lord’s Servant solace and strength?

Isaiah 42:1 esv

spirit

When God says “Behold my servant” He is telling us
this is someone He wants us to know.
This is someone important to Him, someone He has chosen,
someone He supports and sustains who gives Him joy.
This chosen One, confirmed with God’s Spirit,
 will deliver justice to all.

Do you sense some excitement here?
When you talk about your faith what do those
who are listening hear in your voice?

Proverbs 28:5 esv

gavel

Those who resist God do not understand justice;
they are not concerned with the welfare of others.
Those who follow Him understand because they
choose to live God-centered lives not self-centered lives.

Have you wondered why there is so much unfairness and turmoil in the world?
Have you thought about the root of injustice?
