Psalm 19:10-11 hcs

We are often annoyed by rules and laws, anyone’s rules and laws, even God’s.
We rarely think of them as desirable and sweet.
We may see that they are a warning or an admonishing, however,
let us also understand that there is reward in keeping the law.
Unlike man-made laws that may reward us now
keeping God’s law has it rewards now and forever.

Do you dislike rules?
Will you try, this week, to think of them as desirable and sweet?

Reverence for the Lord is to be transparent and simple
not difficult and complex.
He did not establish law to trip us up but to guide us

as we make our way ever closer to Him.

Do you think of reverence and worship of the Lord as complicated?
Who or what makes it seem challenging or hard?

If we follow God’s perfect laws and live by His commands;
we will be sheltered, we will know what we need to know,
we will have great happiness, and we will have Son shine.

What part of the promise speaks the loudest to you?
Why?

Romans 10:4 niv

There are many who believe in Jesus,
that He was a good, even holy, man but no more than that.
That is not enough for righteousness.
We must not only believe in Jesus but believe that He is the Christ,
the Son sent by the Father, our Lord and Savior.

What keeps you anchored in your belief that Jesus is the Messiah?

James 4:11 niv

law2

When we speak of others  disparagingly or in a derogatory way
we are in effect saying the same of God’s law;
we are judging His law when we are to be doers of the law.

God’s Word, His law, says we are to love one another.
There is no love in malicious talk.

Have you ever given thought to how you talk about another
and how  it reflects on how you view God’s law?
Will this make a difference in what you say about others?

Blessings this day of grace,

patricia
