Lamentations 3:23 nlt

fresh

The year is coming to a close and as we reflect on the year
let’s remember that not one day did we spend apart from God’s love.
There may have been times when He seemed far away.
At those times, He didn’t move away from us we moved away from Him.
He is ever faithful.
He said He will not forsake us and He won’t.
Let’s remember this in the new year.

Sometimes I ask, “Where are You?”
Maybe the real question is “Where am I?’

What about you?

Colossians 3:13 lb

hugsThere are people that we find hard to forgive,
people who do awful things, they hurt us or someone we love.
The last thing we want is to be kind and quick to forgive them.
Yet, that is exactly what we are to do, not just once, but every time.
Think about how awful we were and God was merciful and forgave us.
Remember we are forgiven, not just once, but every time.

Is there someone you need to forgive?
Why are you holding a grudge?

Isaiah 42:3 niv

reed-269767_640

The Lord’s servant is compassionate and kind.
He will not cause suffering or harm to those who are hurt and weak.
He can be trusted and will deliver what is true and righteous.

Are you hurting and is your light flickering?
Are you ready to give up?
Will you take your troubles to the Lord’s Servant solace and strength?

Psalm 51:1 gwt

erase

Sin is rarely a single event.
It starts with our thoughts and imaginings
then becomes animated and at work in our lives,
affecting not only ourselves but those around us.

When we confess our sins and ask God’s forgiveness
He forgives and forgets the sins.
Though we don’t deserve His grace, God,
in His mercy, erases them from His sight.

Can you even begin to grasp the magnitude of God’s forgiveness?

Psalm 4:1 kj

big

When David prayed he acknowledged  that God is righteous
and that He had shown mercy to him in the past.
David knew it was by God’s grace that his prayers were heard.

It is the same for us today.
God is righteous and merciful and hears our prayers.

When in distress do you remember the times past when God showed you mercy?
Do you tell Him you know He is righteous and that you remember His grace and mercy?
