Isaiah 26:8 msg

There is no need for us to always rush along the path.
The Lord’s path is a place with much to discover.

We are not walking an uncharted path.
If we take the time to look around we may be surprised

by the signs the Lord has posted for us.

Is it difficult for you to slow down and enjoy the scenery?
Will you take some time this week to meander along His path?
What has the Lord put on the path for you to discover?

Isaiah 26:7 hcs

straight

Our roads may be bumpy and filled with potholes and boulders,
but when we trust in God and live as He wants us to
He will make the most difficult of roads easier to travel.
Staying on the path with Him gets us to His house.

Wherever you are going have you asked God to show you which road to take?

Jeremiah 6:16 niv

crossroad

Sometimes when we are weary or restless or querulous
it is because we are at a crossroads and don’t know
which way to go or what to do.
Or maybe we have strayed from the path we know,
and have become confused and bewildered, not knowing
where we are or how we got there.

This is when we need to stop and be still, and in prayer,
seek information, instruction, and guidance.
We will be given direction and when we follow it
we will once again know rest and harmony.

Do you feel stressed and tired?
Could it be that you need to stop for a while to get your bearings?

It seems contradictory to say the heart that heeds the commands is free.
But there is no freedom without rules.
Prison inmates are behind bars because they went outside the boundaries,
they disregarded the rules and lost their freedom.
God has given us His commandments so we will be free to live with Him forever.

It is easy to follow the rules we like but what about the ones we don’t like?
What is your attitude when faced with rules that are difficult to accept or follow?

Follow them.
Simple.

Do you find it less than simple to follow directions?
Why?
