Deuteronomy 7:6 niv

human-567566_640 (1)

Our being part of God’s purpose was not a random act.
Like the Israelites, God has chosen us.
We are holy, set apart for His service.
We belong to God. We are His beloved.

Even though God knows all about me He still chose me,
made me holy unto Himself, and loves me.
Hard for me to believe but it is true.

Do you understand His choosing of you to be His treasured possession?
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you read this?

Matthew 19:21 esv

things

Jesus asks us to give up what we have to have treasures in heaven.
What we are asked to give is different for each of us,
it may be money but, it could be our home, career, a hobby, a dream;
whatever is more important than Jesus or takes us away from Him.
We cannot follow Him if we are possessed by our things.

What do you own or dream of having that is most important to you?
Are you willing to let it go?

1 Timothy 6:18-19 kj

hold-544519_640

When we give freely without thought of what we will get in return
we build on the foundation formed by Christ.
In serving, giving, and sharing with those around us, near and far,
we demonstrate the love of God for the people of the world.
We may not see the fruits of our labors now, but we will one day.
The treasure, we have now, is knowing the riches of  God’s love.
The treasure, we will receive in the future, is life with Him forever.

Are you rich in good works and willing
to share what you have been given?

Colossians 2:3 gw

mothers-day-588087_640

All the understanding, we need is in Christ.
With knowledge, there is salvation which leads to wisdom.
The treasures are hidden but, they are found in Christ.

Have you found the way to God’s hidden treasures?

2 Corinthians 4:7 niv

jar

Within our fragile breakable bodies is a treasure,
the Gospel, that is a light to this dark world;
a light that will not be broken or destroyed.
The light of the Gospel is powered by God
and cannot be snuffed out or extinguished.
What we do with the treasure is up to us
but it will not be denied.

What do you do with your treasures?
Do you want others to know about them or do you hide them?
